A320 Call outs
hi,
1- when the PF says: SET STANDARD the PNF responds with: STANDARD CORSS-CHECKED PASSING FL _
now when the PFsays: SET QNH should the PNFsay: QNH SET PASSING... or should the PNF say: QNH ...(for example 1014) PASSING ...FEET.
2- after take off checklist should the PF say: (AFTER TAKE OFF CLIMB CHEKCLIST) OR (AFTER TAKEOFF CHECKLIST) AND WHEN IN GO AROUND (AFTER CLIMB CHECKLIST)
thanks.

Hi Flyman35
According to my airline SOPs, which are Airbus plus small differences, is:
SET STD - STD CROSSCHECK PASSING FL...NOW - CHECKED
SET QNH - QNH CROSSCHECK PASSING...FEET NOW - CHECKED
Some pilots say "QNH 1015 SET PASSING..." but according to instructors in my fleet you don't have to say the value until the Approach checklist BARO REF.
And the checklist is always called After Takeoff/Climb checklist, even if it is during Go Around.

As much respect as I have for the way Europeans do things, I'm always amazed at how much effort goes into the simple things like this.
I remember a post a few years ago about when the beacon should be turned off after shutdown...

Agree with CA.
There was a 320 thread concerning flap 3 landings vs flap full. It rambled on for something
like six pages I think.
Then there was an all-out brawl about EXACTLY when should someone pull/push STD/QNH
on another. That was three pages.
Yet another started off something like "if the PNF is CM1 does the CM2 as PF revert to FO
duties as CM2 where the captain takes over as CM1......" I didn't read any further as I
got a frigging headache just reading the first post!
90% of the time I stay away from Airboos threads. They usually have too much complication
of simplicity.

@Flyman35,
I would suggest to read your own company's OM-A/B to find your answer, since all company have some different wording and SOP's. Doesn't always have to be fully Airbus style.
Might seem weird that companies change/alter some Airbus SOP's, but then again if your company flies multiple aircraft from different manufacturers (Airbus, Boeing, Embraer, Fokker), than it seems legitimate to make some standard SOP's for the whole company.
In our company:
Going up:
PF: "altimeters"
PNF: "Standard, passing FL..."
PF: "FL..., standard"
Going down:
PF: "altimeters"
PNF: "QNH...., passing .....ft
PF: ".....ft, QNH...."
But then again, it's just how you say it. The real deal is that you don't forget to check your altimeters. It's the same as that I learned "positive rate" after Takeoff at one company, and the next company wanted me to say "positive climb". Most important thing is that you say the wording to trigger the Gear up movement. Otherwise you're dragging those bloody wheels through the air....
