Can't omit depreciation cost, insurance, mx. spares and reserves. You either discount for rate of inflation back to the initial airbus days or do the opposite to the present for the 787.
After the 20+ billion that went into developing the aircraft and engines, I would have expected a larger improvement over a 20 year old aircraft like the A330.
What are we talking about here, an aircraft much the same size as the 767, with a 40,000 lb higher empty weight ?
