Having been a little skeptical at first I am now converted to laptops and iPads onboard. We have been using them very effectively for some time now and once we older guys get our heads round them it becomes very easy. My own iPad contains the complete suite of company operating manuals, FCOM's, MEL, etc and also all the aeronautical and airport charts for all our airports including diversions. Amendments become much simpler as you just download the latest version from the company website saving a huge amount of time changing pages, and getting that wrong sometimes!
