Embraer 190/195 HUGS
Hey mates,
I've got a really special question but I'm interested in how your company (if you fly the Embraer 190/195 with HUGS) deals with this philosophy.
I fly for an european career where all of our E-Jets are equipped with two Head Up Displays. We're not officially allowed to fly the plane without that "screen". We use it in all phases of flight - how does your campany deal with it?
I am espacially looking for guys who are flying for jetblue and Azul.
Are you officially allowed (acc. your Operations Manual) to fly your Jet without HUGS for training purposes?

Of course you can.
The only phase that HUGS is a certified guidance is for LVTO and 3A APP. For all other phases it is a supplemental display.
You have a copy of the AFM in the cockpit. Be brave and take it out and read it!
