Embraer 190/195 HUGS
Hey mates,
I've got a really special question but I'm interested in how your company (if you fly the Embraer 190/195 with HUGS) deals with this philosophy. I fly for an european career where all of our E-Jets are equipped with two Head Up Displays. We're not officially allowed to fly the plane without that "screen". We use it in all phases of flight - how does your campany deal with it? I am espacially looking for guys who are flying for jetblue and Azul. Are you officially allowed (acc. your Operations Manual) to fly your Jet without HUGS for training purposes? |
Of course you can.
The only phase that HUGS is a certified guidance is for LVTO and 3A APP. For all other phases it is a supplemental display. You have a copy of the AFM in the cockpit. Be brave and take it out and read it! |
