A320 FMGC nav database
Is the nav database on the A320 FMGC customised to company specification with the ability to literally select which airports you'd like in the database? or split by country/region with everyone getting all the performance factored airports available to them within that particular country/region?
I ask because at the last operator I flew with, we constantly experienced missing airports (sometimes even major ones!) in a manner which followed no sensible logic. I.e. lesser airports within a 50 miles radius within the same country were in the database.
Thanks

The short answer is it depends...
You can buy a "standard" regional database, or you can have a company specific one... Which may have things such as EOSIDs, company routes, company procedures etc.
Who was the NavData supplier?
The big ones are Lido, Jeppesen and EAG/Navtech... Not sure of any others?

Thanks, no idea who the supplier was. Judging by what was missing sometimes, I would hazard a guess it was ALDI
Our database barely contained the airports we flew into (OK an exaggeration, maybe 1 out of 4 were missing) let alone EOSIDs, routes, company procs etc.
