320 cockpit preperation. How do the flows work?

Just been reading up to get info before I start my course, and wondering how exactly the checks are done.
I have a sample of the preliminary cockpit checklist that starts with:
CM1/CM2 duties at first.
Do they do this simultaneously(each doing his own)?

Then comes the "Preliminary Cockpit Preparation" where the PNF has a whole list of things to do (starting from engine masters, engine mode selectors etc),

Then comes the cockpit preperation where the PF has his checks starting with the overhead panel, the RCDR, etc.

Are these PNF preliminary cockpit prep and PF cockpit prep done simultaneously?

Thanks in adv.

Yes it's all done simultaneously, you don't have time to wait for the other guy to do his scan before starting yours. Come together for the briefing and any problem solving or things that need discussing.

But I wouldn't start worrying about that yet, just learn the scans and memory items and try to get a general overview of where the switches are and the approach profiles for different scenarios. That'll help you greatly. How to put all the flows and scans together will be taught to you.

Also look at smartcockpit.com

HPbleed,

Thank you.
Where do you find these memory items?
When you say approach profile for different scenarios, you mean selected/managed precession/non precession approaches basically + configuration?

I think this is more accurate:
There are the Airbus SOP's and the airline SOP's which are based on the plane manufacture and can be different.
Where I fly we must watch the other pilot do there flow, just to cross-check.
Good luck

Push buttons to make the white lights go off, start the thing and go fly lol!

What you want to do is print out the FCTM (Flight Crew Training Manual) and then apply RTFM!!!!

Happy Landings
