For the brains trust,

Why does VMCG decrease with an increase in flap?

Because those were the results Ab got when they did the testing.

Not trying to be facetious - all the attempts to define rigid rules about VMC as a function of aircraft configuration inevitably lead to exceptions, which in many cases arise from the specifics of the aircraft config.

VMC manoeuvres are usually fine balances of large forces and moments, and in the case of VMCG particularly are highly dynamic manoeuvres which are conducted as test demonstrations and the tests are done only until the desired result is achieved - they are risky manoeuvres and as soon as you have a result, you go on to something else.
