Boeing's 747-8I's first flight was a memorable event for all aviation enthusiasts but are we also witnessing a historical event? Will this be the last "first flight" of a newly launched (although a derivative) quad? Are A380 and 747-8 the last quads to come out of Airbus and Boeing? Will Airbus or Boeing, or anyone else in the world ever launch a new quad for long-range operations? Are ETOPS Twins the future of long-range aviation?
