EHSI question

Hi guys,

I'm a tad bit a n00b shall we say.
But I was wondering how to get a three mile circle, for example, around an airport on the EHSI?

YouTube - 737 cockpit video - takeoff and landing practice
8 seconds into the video you can see what I mean.

If any one can shed any light onto this, that would be great!

Clueless about the FMS in the 737, but on the Collins FMS3000 hit the IDX button, then lineselect FIX, enter the identifier in the scratchpad and put it in the IDENT line and then the radius (3) in the RAD line. Easy as pie.

Same deal. The 737 CDU has a button labeled FIX, you enter the navaid, airport or fix and then can have radials or range arcs displayed from this point. Oh, and on the NG its called ND, not EHSI
