A320 Technical Specifications
Hello All,
I am a student studying at university in West London currently in my 3rd year doing a dissertation. i have decided to do mine on the airbus a320 which involves getting technical info on the aircraft and inputting it into a computer program to produce a more accurate simulated a320 model on our university simulator. a lot of the info i can gather from publications like Jane's and various websites but there is still a fair amount that i have searched everywhere for and cannot find. a few examples are for instance: fuselage Cd, full fuel Cg position, zero fuel Cg position etc.
Was wondering if there are any past or current A320 pilots that may have any info that they could give me. would be really, really helpful as I have committed to this project and really struggling to get required info.
Thanks in advance

Hilarious. You want to create an A320-Model (apparently some mix of flight simulator and performance model) and have not thought about data before?
Actually, flight simulation is simple, the data is the hard part.
I have don quite a lot of flight simulator programming (the flight mechanical & engineering side, no fancy graphics). My recommendation: forget about the A320 and generate a "generic aircraft".
Drag and derivatives an be found on the net.
Google "CR-2144 NACA" for a start.
Also "B787 piano" will give you some data on a "generic modern aircraft".
Your "dissertation" (do you get a PhD for that?) however is doomed. Try to change the topic quickly, because without first-hand data you're lost. This data (I've worked with it) is pretty large and 100% proprietary. People who have it would rather chop their hand off than giving it to you.
And finally: pilots cannot help you in this respect.

JayLane07, I would assume that for a dissertation the basic info you have found would go a long way to helping. If it's anything like my universities flight simulator, the modelling won't be the most technical ever. I guess it would be more important to analyse the results instead of getting a super accurate model.
Anyway, I'm doing my dissertation now as well and funnily enough may be using a simulator at my university, but not quite as much as you seem to be planning. Have you seen what data the simulator model needs??
Anyway, good luck and no, your dissertation is NOT doomed.

Sorry but I NEVER reply to posters wanting in-depth data for
a specific aircraft. The guy here is most likely legit, but what
better source than here for some bloodey lunatic to conduct a
field research for the next jihad?

@Slasher
All data you need as suicide bomber can be found in flight manuals, which are easy to download. Detailed engineering stuff is usually of no use for "destructive" purposes.
@golball59
I am working in research myself. I am using the internet to find information, too. I am not relying on it though. Sometimes you have some tiny pieces missing and need some input.
The question posted here is the core of his work, and he asks for it in the internet. For me that is somehow surprising and if someone chooses such a cheap approach he needs to accept some funny comments.
By the way: I did provide some help regarding his question.

@Slasher,
That's the second time within hours you give a cretinous reply to somebody seeking serious answers about a study project.
What's wrong with you?
@Jaylane07,
I do agree your university (?) should have the basic data to "tune" a university simulator, quite frankly.
As a student, while working on a moving-base simulator for my 'uni', I found that most of the data I needed were available.
Mind you, this was forty years ago........
Seems you do have a problem.
