Uhhh, I was expecting a comment about World War I pilots...

One of the Old Bold Pilots who meet weekly in Surf City was given initial flight training in a J-3 Cub by a veteran Italian WWI pilot. The guy wouldn't let him look at the airspeed indicator.

that would make him at least 110 years old,and still flying a cub.

I think the operative phrase in GB post is "was given initial flight training".
I don't think he meant yesterday!

MTOW in the Westwind One I flew on freight ops was 10,660 kg = 23,452 lbs.

Checkboard, are you sure?

I thought the baggage fuel tank and weight increase was only for a Westwind II

Found the answer......With AFM supplement 4 it allows TOW to be increased from 22850 to 23500 on the Westwind 1.
