ADS/CPDLC Formats
Hi,
If you are crossing the North Atlantic can you enter in your FMS ARINC424 waypoints (5040N) or do you rquire to enter a 6 digit format (50N40W)?
Does it matter if you have ADS connected?
I hear different things and was operating with the ARINC format, however I know understand that the 6 digit way is correct??
Thoughts please.

New York Oceanic (KZWY) can not accept CPDLC position reports containing latitude and longitude in the ARINC 424 format (e.g., 4050N). Rather, it requires the full format (e.g., N40W050)
The rest of oceanic CTA's are ok with either formats, at least for now.
Happy trails,
