Auto pilot problems
Can anyone help me with this!!
My aircraft is never flying the heading bug, its always 10-15degrees off, its been to the avionics engineer and he says he cant find a problem with it. Its really sporadic, sometimes its spot on, sometimes its 5degrees off, sometimes more, and sometimes its just completely useless!
Its a Cessna 400B IFCS type IF-550A
Anyone got any ideas???

When i did airtaxi work it was all single pilot.
JAR ops, as im sure you know says that single pilot IFR ops must have an auto pilot capable of holding height and heading.
the running joke at the company was, the pilot had NO input into which height, and which heading was being held!!!
We had one a/c that does as you describe, my advice - just get on with it!
