Iceland Oca

Hi everyone, this is post for a friend.

ICELAND OCA. BIRD operates on the CADS system, which will accept ADS reporting. Does anybody know if one can receive an Oceanic Clearance using ACARS from Reykjavik OCA instead of voice.

Thanks

Westbound, North of the point Ratsu, you get your oceanic clx via voice from Iceland radio. Eastbound its via Gander....Iceland does have cpdlc (BIRD) however I have never got the ocn clx via cpdlc.

As far as I am informed, only Shanwick and Gander offer the Oceanic Crossing Clearance via ACARS.
