TBM 850 'Crash Lever' - Purpose?

Hi all,

A question for all the TBM pilots out there.

What's the purpose of the 'Crash Lever' in the TBM 850?

Thanks.

I don't fly it... but am sure it shuts down the electrical system in an emergency/about to spear in.

Yes, it shuts down the electrical system. Not sure about the 850 but on the 700 the hot battery bus items remained connected so just a fancy master switch.
