Max Alt. A319 CJ

Just wondering if the CJ has a higher Max Flt level than the conventional A319 (FL390)
Thanks

Which starts to be close to where you'll find proper business jets, though their cabins will be much, much, lower down, which is one of the reasons why people buy them...

They will also be much, much smaller, which is the reason people buy a CJ or BBJ.

All A320 Family airliners, including A319, up to 39800ft - it's a metric altitude thing for flying in China and other metric altitude areas with a bit of margin.

ACJ up to 41000ft

What would it take to approve a normal A320 to FL400?

40000ft in an A320. Why would you want to? Optimum fuel economy altitude is way below 400 at normal airliner operating weights. The ACJ is much lighter towards the end of its mission or on shorter range sectors and thus can justify the higher altitude for some fuel benefit. Also the greater routing flexibility of 410 on shorter ops away from major routes brings a benefit for the ACJ. But an airliner, working on airways... it brings nowt.
