B737 700 Radar antenna size & beamwidth

Can anyone confirm that the B737-700 radar is,

a) X band

and...

b) what is the antenna size?

This is to allow calculations for Tip Up procedure and Height Evaluation procedure - both of which require knowledge of the angular width of the radar beam.

Yes, certainly X band, and I don't think you will be far out if you consider a 3deg beamwidth

X-band as for all wx radars, and try 6 degrees width (3 above and 3 below the index).

You can do the tilt up etc yourself. Use the ratio 1 degree of tilt = 100' altitude at 1nm.

Forget, thanks for that. Very useful links too.

Just shows how careful you have to be before accepting "facts" on this forum...
