best flight bag

What's the best out there?

Trying to decide between the Scott Leather Jumbo flight kit and the Coyote Works bag.

Any suggestions?

They're both great bags. What color are your stripes? The Coyote bag has silver hardware, the Scott's come with gold hardware.

Also the skidplates on the Coyote bag are nice. I like the "up-armored" feel.

how are the locks on the coyote works bag? Same quality as the Scott bag?

I heard that the only thing wrong with the Scott bags is that the latches are cheap.

Can you not take that Ikea bag as your flight bag for april fools. Do the airlines allow you to freak your passengers out like that. I.E Taking a teddy bear under your arm as if your teddy has to travel everywhere with you.

Please be advised that humour is completely wasted when dealing with the good people of Canadia.

They match the twiddley bits on their bags to their stripes

Hi, have you ever considered the Classic Korchmar Aviator Catalog Case?
It looks very nice.

Bye

I like the ''skid plates'' on the coyote works bag. Is the rest of the bag good as well?

It's very very hard to beat the one Argos does. 20 odd squids and bears an uncanny resemblance to the ones the catalouges for 3-4 times the price, and at 20 odd quid, you can replace them every year!

Fundamentally it's a big leather box, but I like the Coyote bag. Nice thick leather, good handle, the skid plates take the worry out of any drags, silver colored hardware. I also wanted a bag where I didn't have to thread the handle through the top, nor gather two "saddle straps" together to form the handle. The Coyote fit the bill, though I believe Scott has a similar option.

The best flight bag is a small one, this removes the temptation to carry around a whole load of stuff which you will never use or look at.
