Flying Jellyfish?

It serves me right for reading the thing occasionally but I couldn't help noticing this:

Does anyone think these are Altocumulus Castellanus?
The classic Alt Cu Cas looks like, albeit without the virga:



Are they hybrids?

Stupid question maybe, but how do you tell there is windshear looking at those clouds? Is it the sideways deflection and where it is drawn down towards the ground?
