737 Nacelle Strake on Wrong Side?
Is this legitimate? http://www.planepictures.net/netshow.php?id=614336
It appears that a #1 inboard cowl was substituted for the #2 outboard cowl, which presumably fit ok. Of course the net effect of this swap was the placement of a large vortex generator where Mr. Boeing did not intend. Is this covered in the CDL or is it just a screwup?

This is a screw up i would suspect. I saw it happen with one of our aircraft only a few months ago where it was rolled out the hangar with both vortex generators on one engine, and nothing on the other!

lookung at suggested pic it is clear somone misinstalled the engines cowls. lh eng strack appered on the rh eng but worng side and so on..... it means required strack on each side at the right place is missing. the mel clears it by operatrional penaltys. it should be put in order first opportunity !
