Engine-out S.i.d

As you can see..the subject is engine-out standard instrument departure
I would appreciate any informations on the variables used in building engine out S.I.Ds , the factors affecting them , and methods of calculating the best climb gradient in relation to a known obstacle for a three-engined aircraft such as the B-727 200 ADV
