Having spent a considerable time on both, the 320 is my choice.
To give you an idea of how little many pilots know about either, even the old 737-300/400 had an alpha floor protection. Most Boeing pilots were surprised when shown it was there since they were convinced it was only something Airbus did to complicate the airplane.

And in windshear I would rather just go full aft stick and get max AOA rather than hunt for it.
And so we don't start some sophormoric Boeing/Airbus 'which is better' argument, the main thing I learned from flying Boeings, McDougs, Airbus and Nihons (as well as numerous biz-jets) is play to the strenght, respect the weaknesses. And with the airlines try to fly the trips with the most pay, the best F/As and the best layovers.

AGENTS (ENG/APU).................. As REQD
there is a small note that says "Agent 2 is not available on ground"
Of course in the Engine Fire on ground it says AGENT 1+2 Discharge. (3.02.26 page 2)
My questions is if Agent 2 is not available on the ground why bother with discharging it??Any comments?

1. FMA is king. The aircraft IS doing what the FMA's say. Know each FMA and understand what they mean.
2. When manual flying, hold the sidestick like you would hold your mate's willy, and touch it as little as possible.
3. The serviceable aircraft flies in normal law all the time except for the first few seconds after take-off. Understand what that means.
3. The Airbus is an aeroplane, always remember that. For all the gadgets and gizmos, it still needs an airman to fly it.

Hi Dani,
the current revision we have is Rev 40. Until Rev 38 nothing was mentioned like that and I spoke to a few captains and they were surprised with this information as well.
I checked in FCOM 1 and it says in the FCOM that Squib 1 on engine 1 & 2 are on Hot Bus while Squib 2 for both engines are not.

I just checked our newest aircraft, delivery OCT 06, you're right! It says agent 2 won't work. I remember one instructor telling me that, now it's on paper!
Airbus Unplugged, when and why do you hold your mate's willy??? For the rest I agree with you totally.
