747 Classic pitch and power settings
Looking for a little help with a sim eval coming up. I've been given a textual description of what to expect but it may help if I can get rough pitch and power settings for:
4 engine straight and level
4 engine 500fpm climb/decent
3 engine straight and level
3 engine 500fpm climb/decent
Thanks in advance!

Pitch attitudes
I always remember pitch attitudes as a phone number
1030-56789-8531
10 deg, enroute climb 0 flap
3 deg,cruise FL300 - FL350
0 deg, descent
5 deg, holding level flight FL010
6 deg, 0 flap terminal area gear up FL050
7 deg, 1 flap, as above
8 deg, 5 flap, as above
9 deg, 10 flap, as above
8 deg, 20 flap, as above
5 deg, 20 flap, final app gear down 3deg glide slope vref+10
3 deg, 25 flap, as above
1 deg, 30 flap, as above
This is just in the back of my head to have something to aim at until we can get refer to the performance manual.

Rainboe: i think that's is indeed a nice way to use your EFIS on the 400,
but I also wager on the 400 ( and 800) series ' The Queen of the Skies'
you probably can fly her off the cuff. I heard, despite that intimidating glare that Her Majesty gives to the 'Little guys like a 767-400
, she's actually a little lamb on the flight deck

It' s a method I've used a lot too but it's a good idea to have some kind of idea of the basic pitch power settings in any jet. You wouldn't just rotate and wait to see what speed you ended up with would you? No, you go for 15 degrees cause you already know it's close to what you're gonna need. T.L.A.R is doing it the hard way mate, something I'll save for arsing about down route. I have a sim check for job and I've never flown 747 before......

I would highly recommend knowing your powers & att's. You'll make so much spare time for other things instead of being reactive. Basic IF skills are about being proactive
