Even grabbing an hour or two in the 747 classic sim is worth it if you've never flown a big bus before (a small career investment!). You can go thru the profiles a few times and practice your steep turns.
I would highly recommend knowing your powers & att's. You'll make so much spare time for other things instead of being reactive. Basic IF skills are about being proactive
