Thanks for the replies. After spending most of the day looking at various shops online, I've odered some silver Whiskers with dark grey lenses. These seems to be a good compromise so I'll see what they're like. My only concern is that they might be a bit wide for under a headset (me being female and maybe having narrower head than a guy). I wanted the small crosshair ones but the small size only come with either yellow lenses or a black to purple gradient! I wish they would let you pick a frame and then choose any lenses you like

Changing lenses is always possible! You have to go to a real Oakley shop (not a sunglass shop that sells Oakleys!).
Remember that you can also buy any frame with any RX lenses (prescribed lenses).

The problem is that replacement lenses cost nearly as much as a new pair of sunglasses. But then you have a pair of replacement lenses.

I think that your eyes are the most precious you have so it's worth to invest something. I don't compromise at all on my eyes. My wife is an ophtalmologist, so I know those guys with 60 who don't see anything anymore...

Could try Serengetis with Sedona lens (pink!). Fantastic for glare from below (so work well on the ski slopes as well), and very good in EFIS flightdeck. Try sunglassgiant.com for mail order from USA.
