MEL time limit

Dear all,

What time interval does your company uses for different category of MEL items?

Mine:
A)-- as per specified in the MEL item
B)-- 3 days
C)-- 10 days
D)-- 120 days

each day is 24 hour midnight to midnight, UTC.

Cheers

Keep in mind that the starting point for developing MELs is the MMEL from the relevant NAA and the time limit groupings come from the MMEL processes. You can have a look at the US documents here. It is worth having a look over the MMEL for your Type of interest as there is a lot of useful background gen therein ..

In my company the MEL limits are similar as you list but hard not defined Time Vs Category A, B, or C for all defects. The MELs are derived from the MMEL There is a preamble in the front of our MEL book which explains alot and is well worth reading by engineers and pilots alike....

Smile

A, B, C the same as stated, however we reduced D from 120 to 60 so as to get DD's cleared/worked quicker.
