MEL time limit
Dear all,
What time interval does your company uses for different category of MEL items? Mine: A)-- as per specified in the MEL item B)-- 3 days C)-- 10 days D)-- 120 days each day is 24 hour midnight to midnight, UTC. Cheers:ok: |
Keep in mind that the starting point for developing MELs is the MMEL from the relevant NAA and the time limit groupings come from the MMEL processes. You can have a look at the US documents here. It is worth having a look over the MMEL for your Type of interest as there is a lot of useful background gen therein ..

JT,
You are the MAN:ok: :ok: :ok: Thanks so much. |
In my company the MEL limits are similar as you list but hard not defined Time Vs Category A, B, or C for all defects. The MELs are derived from the MMEL There is a preamble in the front of our MEL book which explains alot and is well worth reading by engineers and pilots alike....

A, B, C the same as stated, however we reduced D from 120 to 60 so as to get DD's cleared/worked quicker.
