hi all.

was wondering if a logbook download is available for my sony pda with os software. I would love to enter flight details in the sony onboard the ac then transfer them at home to a pc logbook program.

Does anybody have such a thing and where can i download it from.

i have been using PalmLog Pro for more than 2 years now and i am very happy with it. although it doesnt automatically transfer the data back to the PC as there is no desktop conduit, you can convert the data into CSV for excel. anyway, i just keep the logs in the palm (double backed up!)

Not a logbook, but helpful freeware Palm application is WinterOPS. WinterOPS can be downloaded from www.pohltec.ch and allows you to decode runway state messages (MOTNE reports) into a plain language summary of type of deposit, extent, depth and braking action. It also calculates headwind and crosswind components after entering the surface wind and the runway. It's written for Airbus-pilots, but may also be helpful for other pilots.

Take a look at the website, I just noticed that the author, Martin Pohl, has added additional features.

I'm still looking for specific 737NG Palm applications. Anyone?

I made my own logbook using DataViz Smartlist Palm software. Smarlist is one of the most powerful relational database application on the Palm, provided with a PC companion and sync conduit. Automatic sync with MS Access or Excel is also possible. Powerful filters can extract most information needed by airline pilots.
If you find it difficult to make your own logbook with this program, I'll gladly send you my template.
Good luck.
