CFIT / MSAW
I´m a student of Lufthansa Flight Training and also a student at the Bremen University of Applied Sciences in the International Degree Course for Aeronautical Engineering. The course at university brings at the end a diploma thesis along. I´ll write my one about a kind of MSA-Warning.
Because I just started, I´m interested in any kind of stuff that is related to CFIT, MSAW and EGPWS for introduction.
Especially, there are the following questions:
As I said above, I´m interested in all kind of related stuff!
Thanks in advance!

Especially, there are the following questions:
- Are Terrain / MSA Warnings common during normal everyday operation, or are they neglectable?
- Whats the reason for CFIT-Accidents? Is it only the weather, loss of sight? Are systemfailures, mistakes in charts, errors by ATC a possible reason? Is there any main problem, except for weather?
- Is EPGWS the Non-plus-ultra, or has it also some weak sides?
As I said above, I´m interested in all kind of related stuff!
Thanks in advance!

No Nabla, terrain warnings, or any GPWS/EGPWS warnings for that matter, are not common during normal operaton, they are not supposed to be either and as soon as they happen they are certainly not neglectable. They are there to prevent a disaster about to happen.
Good luck

There are several articles on CFIT at
www.flightsafety.org and www.faa.gov. They deal more with possible causes and discuss technology such as proximity warning systems in that context.
