B737NG FMC Bank...?

Hi Pilots,

I am new around here and I wanna prepare for B737NG.

I know that I can select the max bank when in AP HDG mode or NAV mode. But What if I fly by FMC, does any max bank selection has any effect or where can I select the max bank for FMC driven AP flight (LNAV, VNAV)? I'd like to fly turns with less then 30° bank above FL100...

Thanx

Regards,
T-A-H

t-a-h, on the ones I flew you can't.
Even worse, I've heard of several occasions, and witnessed one, where the LNAV command causes the autopilot to overbank, and that generates an GPWS 'Bank angle' warning. Very shocking to see an a/p get that far. It didn't get any further, I tell you .

The bank angle selector has no effect in other modes than HDG.

Bank Angle Selector is only for HDG SEL or VOR modes
but I agree with previous reply you might see on LNAV mode bank angles very close to the GPWS aural warning (35degrees)

The "overbank" issue was a software problem and should have been resolved. If any of you are still experiencing this problem contact your friendly software installer and ask (rather firmly) "why?".
