Post Temperature Inversions

The general answer to any question about Temperature Inversions is that they are not a factor unless you encounter them combined with the following:
  • High Elevation Airport.
  • High Ambient Temperatures.
  • High TOW
  • Engine failure at V1

A number of you operate to RUH where in the last week temperature Inversions of +16° were recorded.

What are your policies to account for this phenomenon?

Mutt.

Happens all the time in the Gulf as well, Mutt. Policy is, to have the F/E watch the TAT like a hawk. No F/E you say, whoops then the NFP has to watch. Just one more thing to do, and really should not be a problem if expected.
