Chox Away - The council did not discuss Comed or the Airport, I have seen letters that say they "only deal with general airport policy, not the day to day running of the airport"

Does anybody know if the debenture holders, Windmill Investments Ltd are part of the same company as Windmill Holdings, It's costing me a fortune at £5 a time finding out from companies house!

I also think Relaunch is RM.

Perhaps there's hope yet for Comed (if not already 'ReLaunched'). :-)

Seen the posts lately reference Gill Airways. Seems they're the first scheduled airline to come out of administation. Perhaps they should change their name to Pheonix!

Excellent news for their troops, but what about all those other companies that had to write off money owed to them in order for Gill to survive. They too will have mortgages to pay etc etc.

Comed Aviation limited, Managing Director Mr R Murgatroyd, company secretary N Wild, Comed Flight Training is not in the name of Martindale Kingham this is merly the registered office.

Windmill Investments Limited, also are Windmill Holdings Limited whose registered office is perrigine House Isle Of Man, Mr Whitehead is the front man for these companies who also is mentioned in Know it Alls posting of 28 April.

Here is some intresting news, Mr Whitehead is on the board of Directors of Blackpool Football Club alongside GE Crosby, who also is head of the local council, who is pulling or not as the case may be G Eastwoods strings.

Comed that was would of been running now under administration but Mr Whitehead chose to put the receivers in allowing the administration order to be overruled.

The Figure that Comed has gone for according to Mr M is £600k this was four weeks ticket sales during the summer months, ironic that poor old Rob held it all together during the winter and then on the dawn of spring had the rug pulled from him.

A Law suite against the Airport is being brought, did you know that Eastwood has had three written offers in excess of £250K for the old Comed Building and Comed owned aircraft and the residual intrest in the third party aircraft ! Instead he chooses to be billed at £30..per aircraft per day by Bannerman, what are you thinking of, and what will the tax payers be thinking ?

Windmill sorry Whitehead also had two sidekicks in the Isle Of Man, a one Richard Daley, and a Jamie Jackson, both bank rolled by their rich parents, talks are still ongoing with Whitehead and G E Crosby about a possible Isle Of Man Schedule !

I have been reading back through the postings and would like to add this reply to Tarmach of the 26 Feb and JP5A of the 27 Feb.

Comed employed the whole of the ANT Engineering staff, so ANTs wage bill reduced overnight, Comed also paid £125k for the Hangar & Maintenance facility,This money was paid over with a clause that if the sale did not go through then Comed would forfit £65k as a non refundable deposit.

Whitehead/Windmill stopped the purchase of the ANT empire, allowing Comed to forfit their deposit of £65k.

Thanks to Comed ANT are now enjoying a new lease of life, and even more so with the majority of the former Comed students.

Watch this space, this is just the tip of the iceburg.

I now see why Blackpool Football club has got away with owing the Council £160,000 since 1986!! Considering how Bannerman and ANT seem to have benefited I don't suppose they are on the board at the football club! Come on Relaunch if you have more juicy gossip let us in on it.

Relaunch - You say PW works alongside G E-C at the Tangerines. Is this still so? The reason I ask is, going back to last year, Blackpool Council was to decide on whether to lease land to Blackpool Football Club and help lay the foundations for the biggest and most expensive development in the resort’s history - the new multi-million pound Bloomfield Road Football Stadium.

In a report to councillors, Chief Executive G E-C advised that the land should be rented at an amount less than its market value. The report also acknowledged that the Council was foregoing a possible receipt in the region of £350K or rental equivalent £50K per year. GE-C said that normally the Council was legally required to sell or rent its land on a commercial basis, but in this case special considerations applied.

Surely, G E-C had a conflict of interest if serving on both boards.

Ha, I found it as well. Chox away - you forgot to mention this bit! The council proposes to "Authorise the leasehold disposal by the Council of the "Stadium Land" at a peppercorn rent and the freehold disposal of the "Enabling Land" at current use value on the terms outlined. The Council being satisfied that such disposals would promote the economic development of Blackpool with each party to meet their own estates and legal costs." Also in another section it states "It was proposed to dispose of the freehold interest in the "Enabling Land" in the sum of £50,000." This being the land valued at £350,000 I think.
All very interesting! I wonder what the conservatives would make of this?

Anyway, back to Blackpool Airport, I understand four members of the board of directors resigned last year within a few months of each other, anybody know why?

Perhaps had a better offer from an 'Investment' Company and are now living it up in the I.O.M.

Bannerman was seen today Moving the slingsby into safe dry custody as it was getting wet! he was accomponied by several of his bandits!

I understand that there are now eight aircraft being stored at the cost of £240-00 per day which is more than most of us actualy earn! huh! talk about greed ! and if you see a man with a pipe he is worse than bannerman and not to be trusted at all as all information is passed directly back to bannerman!

Ok pyro, but as this aircraft was Impounded by G.Eastwood anyway it could well be that mr E. had ordered it to be moved, and so Bannerman was perhaps quite within his rights to do so. anyway I understand that the bottom has dropped out of muckys world today as he was told that he could not have building 28 back and can not opperate a flying school from the half of the hangar he has wormed his way into.

Comed Flight Training was issued a Commercial landing contract yesterday by Mr G Eastwood, strange for a Flying school that is not allowed to operate from Blackpool Airport !

Comed is back and growing by the day, one PA28 and one PA32 already operating and available from the Hangar where a temporary office is in operation, time will tell if the Lease is handed back to RM for the former Comed building, or is there a deeper hidden agenda brewing with Gary Bannerman and the local council ?

Stand up that man (ISDABS1) very well put, the good news is that R.M. will soon be operational albeit on a smaller scale to start.Having both R.M & Bannerman as customers (& yes I'm still owed by R.M. but thats business) I know who I prefer to do business with, although R.M. is far from perfect he is straight & fair. It speaks volumes for the character of Bannerman when you go as far a field as New Zealand mention you originate from Blackpool & the first words are " is that arsehole B?????n still there".If you talk to Bannerman all you get from him is "been here for 25 years must be doing something right" well, as he found out to his cost recently that is not true! I will leave you to decide about his mentality. They do say in life you get your rewards or otherwise & I'm glad to report that Bannerman is now receiving his, as you are aware SIR all the money in the world can't get you that little piece of signed paper from the AME that you have so activley been chasing the last few months,maybe you should change your handle to Exbannerman. If it helps, I know of a nice little cottage on the North Wales coast, you could watch the planes from your garden.

It is not just Batemanisbad4U it is Blackpool Airport "The Friendly Alternative" that may be bad for you, if you let anybody use your aircraft and they owe money, watch out.

Does anybody know how many letters the airport has sent out to the owners of the impounded aircraft? As far as I know the answer is NONE! Anybody know any different?

It is a good job they are a friendly lot!

Can we just hang on here a minute! I was flying from Blackpool today and discovered that Mr M has re-opened a flying school - with 2 aircraft I believe. How can this be allowed to happen.

I also understand that RM is driving a 7 series BMW, and his wife a flashy 4x4. Meanwhile, many people have lost serious amounts of money - be they ex-staff, passengers or students - as a result of his failings. I only hope that his ex-employees all see sense and none of them, or students for that matter, are tempted to return.

As for the comments about Bannerman - do I detect bags of envy/jealousy directed at someone who has run a successful aviation business for many many years? (and no, I am NOT connected with him).

Can't wait to get back on his books, & as soon as he has the routes back I will be banging on his door hard. :) Your comments about bannereman only go to show how little you know about the goings on on the corner so maybe you should do a little research.

I have a good Idea, all the members of the old Comed who had money in credit accounts get free membership to the new Comed and free flying to the value of their accounts. Murgy then gets the privately owned aircraft released so all he has to do is pay his creditors and everyone, well almost everyone will be happy.

RM is allowed to start again because he has not been banned from acting as a Director of an English limited company, even then i'm sure he could get another 'name'to act as Director but still be in charge as a General Manager.
The law of limiting one's liability to the debts of the company should make prospective creditors beware and pay for publically available accounts but it seems to make them feel secure and jump in head first! Only if he gave personal guarantees will he be dipping into his own pocket.
The same goings-on happened at SECOAT at Manston in 1997 only the sums lost by wannabees were truly collossal.
I have no comments either way regarding RM but it needs a risk-taker to setup and offer these services but their enthusiasm may outreach their business ability. If not for the RM's of this world (love them or hate them) for wannabees it is Hobsons' choice of not giving up the day job unless you have the odd two years spare and £70,000 plus living expenses if you are to realise the dream.

Wassuupp, with regards to your message, I lost a lot of money when the old Comed(very clever) went bust so I don't know what you are so happy about. Great RM has started up again and I like to see people do well but the fact remains he lost people a lot of money. Have you ever thought of sparing a couple of moments to wonder what happens to the so called little people who just wanted to fly and recieved this crap for their trouble. I take it your not going to be funding my nights out down the pub are you.
