Aborted JFK Flight?

It is in the HuffPost (JFK Emergency Landing: Delta Flight 30 Suffers Engine Failure).

Thought I'd drop in to get the real scoop... no thread.

Updates from those in the know appreciated.

with 60K tons of fuel they could have made it around the world single engine and depressurised -but it does seem above the runway limits :}
