Hercules at Heathrow

Sorry folks posted on wrong page just had a Hercules on finals in to Heathrow around 15mins ago any idea whos

Your post was timed at 20.31 so I checked Plane Finder from 20.00 but no Herc showed. Air Algerie used to operate a Herc into Heathrow on freight services..

I checked flight radar I know don't do military nothing come up on this as well I know Kuwait airforce and Saudi use to fly in a mystery?

Yes, a short visit (25 minutes) by Hercules C.5 ZH888 as Ascot 5990. No ADS-B, so doesn't shown up on most of the trackers.

Parked on RS stands on arrival and didn't shut down while on the ground, on dept it taxied from the RS suite straight to the nearest runway intersection where it performed a very sprightly dept to Doncaster I believe

Disappeared from Mode S at FL180, 300 KTAS on a NNW-ish heading, so that fits.

Every so often we get military aircraft in to LHR who are meeting a member of the armed forces from a commercial flight to take them back to a relative in the UK who may be seriously ill.
