Your post was timed at 20.31 so I checked Plane Finder from 20.00 but no Herc showed. Air Algerie used to operate a Herc into Heathrow on freight services..

Yes, a short visit (25 minutes) by Hercules C.5 ZH888 as Ascot 5990. No ADS-B, so doesn't shown up on most of the trackers.

Parked on RS stands on arrival and didn't shut down while on the ground, on dept it taxied from the RS suite straight to the nearest runway intersection where it performed a very sprightly dept to Doncaster I believe

Did it depart as an 'Ascot' or as a 'Kitty' something or other?

Disappeared from Mode S at FL180, 300 KTAS on a NNW-ish heading, so that fits.

Every so often we get military aircraft in to LHR who are meeting a member of the armed forces from a commercial flight to take them back to a relative in the UK who may be seriously ill.
