Kemble ?
Can anybody throw some light on how easy it is to gain access to Kemble airfield for the purposes of the odd picture ? I am visiting the area soon and have a spare day and a large camera bag

You can see a lot of the big stuff from the perimeter road (there's a lay-by if you need to dump the car). There's the AV8 Cafe on site too, right next door to the control tower if you fancy lunch a sit down on the terrace. Air Salvage International 'own' all the big stuff.... some times they allow access, sometimes they don't...

worth a trip i would say
i walked right round both sides of the airfield , and good shots were obtained from the main road of all of the scrapped line up
then had to walk back into the airfield it's self and few other good shots obtained
and the cafe good too for a good break

If you're going by car it is worth visiting the Bristol Aero Collection which is on the south side of the airfield. These days there is no direct access from the north to the south side, or there wasn't last time I tried, so you have to use the roads.
