really??

Are you registered with the ais website - you need a password, that is all.

Look again as your database, LPMA RWY 05 / RWY 23. There is no RNAV Approach, there is however an RNAV STAR but as I think I said an approach and a STAR are two quite different things eg LIDRO 5A with a hold at ABUSU is unquestionably a STAR.

As far as I know the procedures for VOR DME were updated in Jan 2015.

If you have plates with data concerning full-blown RNAV approaches etc I am sure the Portuguese authorities would like to know.

Can you post the plates please?

Mathy. You're going to have to eat humble pie I think. I've just checked my Lido plates. Last full update 23rd August. I have 3 RNAV approaches. RNAV (rnp) z and y 05 and RNAV 23. All dated 13august. 23 has minima all the way down to 490' (RNP 0.1 VNAV) 05 down to 520'.

And no I'm not going to post the plates as my employer pays a hell of a lot of money to ensure I get up to date plates to my iPad. I'm pretty sure posting them would breach some policy somewhere.

I'm pretty sure the Portuguese authorities would be very aware of these procedures.

You are correct. And the approach looks quite interesting too. Who is your FMS database provider?

FD.

Hello Driver, how is it going? Thanks for all that.

Denti is the one who is correct.

Navigraph are NOT a service provider in the sense understood by the industry at large. Caveat emptor.

My guess is that Navigraph have jumped the gun and released a package before it is complete. Also I challenge your conception of what is and is not RNAV because your screen grabs tell me so.

At the risk of saying it again there is an RNAV STAR but as yet there is no APPROACH because the AIS has yet to publish one despite what Navigraph might think.

Based on what I have seen no one in their right mind would fly that "approach".

However keep at it, I wish you well, GELO ROSRO RW05 works for me.

Maybe i will question navigraph on there support forums and get back?

Yeh hand fly the approach and do some of that pilot stuff a pilot from here kindly gave me his notes on how to fly this approach and got a lot of advice which has helped alot.

humble pie eaten

Of course! Supplementary!! I am dining on humble pie as you speak.

Driver 170 there is a trial posted on the Portuguese ais with plates. Use your ais password to access www.nav.pt/ais having registered first and instead of the eAIP section proper choose the SUP section. It is explained there is detail and the service is free.

My apologies

Thank you all
