Spoilers up for Takeoff !

Hey guys , what exactly is going on here ?? is it just the roll spoilers because the pilots put bank on for takeoff ?? or are the spoilers really up ??

is this a procedure for any aircraft ??

seems scandalous to even think about something like this in a stormy weather.

Sorry to spoil your fun, but the word you are looking for is "aileron".

Crosswind takeoff with possibly excessive upwind aileron resulting in activation of roll spoilers. You can see that the inboard aileron is (full?) up. Scandalous? Not really, maybe the wing was lifting early due to the crosswind, what do you know. Sadly the most interesting part of the video, the lift off, is edited out. This would show exactly how much crosswind there was!

Looks to me a one of the automaton 'Preset aileron for xxx crosswind' brigade and it turns out to be far too much at lift-off.

Spoilers up for Takeoff !

Time to start policing these "most scary x" videos on yewtoob and give the authors something genuinely scary to deal with.

Like being staked out over a fire-any nest smeared in jam inversely proportional to the actual level of scare displayed.

hmmm as i thought , aileron in to the wind activating the roll spoilers .

As a bus driver i was taught not to put ailerons in to the wind during takeoff . the spoilers will come up reducing takeoff performance.

Thanks for the input guys and yes time to start policing youtube lol .
