Spitfire over Great Yarmouth

Earlier today I heard a distinctive growling noise and looked out of the window to see a lovely curving shape looping and rolling over the beach here on the east coast. Living about a mile inland I couldn't see many details apart from a set of invasion stripes in the usual places.

Whoever it was, thank you for showing off one of our countries best ever fighting machines on such a beautiful sunny summer's day.
Large lump in throat, and massive amount of dust in the eyes....
(It's the hay fever season you know!)

One did a couple of runs over Brize Norton about twenty past eight, it looked like a PR.9 with invasion stripes, a wonderful sight and absolutely fantastic sound.

Another happy bear.

I think I saw it flying overhead on its' way to brize, flying east to west above the north London area. Was it a sea blue colour?

@ bobward - Carolyn Grace keeps her Spit at Bentwaters, not far away in Suffolk.
