Boeings 5% Scale Model

How do they make a 55 scale model that conforms exactly to the aerodynamic shape of the real future aircraft, including flaps and slats.

The precision must be incredible.

I would have thought any precision model maker could handle a 1:20 scale. I am not sure what scale the manufacturing drawings would be done to but I would hazard a guess that they could easily be redone at 1:20 using modern cad and so able to drive a precision milling machine directly.
