Flybe DASH 8 makes emergency landing at Newquay Airport

The Dash 8 aircraft suffered hydraulics problems while en-route from Gatwick before landing at about 22:00 BST on Tuesday.

I read the article several times but nowhere could I see any mention of an "emergency" landing ,except as below. In fact, it specifically says:

"It added that it was not an emergency landing "as defined by the Civil Aviation Authority".

So why sensationalise the matter?

In fact the OP is innocent of even that. He/she would simply have attached the BBC URL, and PPRuNe did the rest, including quoting the page title.

Now that the BBC have changed it, if you do the same thing it looks like this instead:

BBC News - Flybe plane lands at Newquay Airport after engine fluid leak

Presumably it had been changed by the time HD looked at the link.

The way I read the original headline is:

"Flybe plane lands at Newquay Airport after engine fluid leak"

Now I know that i am old, decrepit and have bad eyesight but I don't think the word "emergency" appears there.

He'll catch up! I guess the word 'original' confused him
