B727 over Gillingham Dorset
For the last two or three days there's been a 727 flying various patterns over this bit of open FIR. What's it doing? Is it something to do with ETPS? or some odd bunch doing type conversions? whatever it is, it's lovely to see the old thing. Three days ago a VC10 went over at about FL70. I had all my builders out appreciating that fast deminishing sight.

Yes it's nice to see a Boeing 3holer again, Dan-Air had many of them 'sadly I did not fly them . But I ended up on the 5 Apu's Machine Instead. Great Laugh.

727 was always my favourite plane as a young spotter in SW London, used to spend most lunchtimes spotting Heathrow inbounds right over my school in Battersea. There was something about the wings when viewed from directly below I somehow found very pleasing...
