Angel THE FUTURE OF FLYING

Hi,

Appears these guys at AIRBUS must have a lot of free time on their hands, radical design is not the word for it.
Regards,
MONCTON FIR.

Keeping the SLF conscious and supplied with a view won't last.
Give them the blue pill at departure and stick them in a tube. Double your souls on board

By the time that Greenhouse gets in to the skies, the Bad-Dreamliner might be fit to fly in.

Certainly with the 'glasshouse' views, there will be a lot more questions on Spectators' Balcony about 'why and where' and at least pax will be able to warn the flight crew if they are either heading for a cumulo-granitus or about to over/undershoot the runway - and TCAS could become a thing of the past............

Throughout history, innovations have come from people with too much time on their hands.

There must be a lot of people, with a lot of time on their hands - and a lot of investors money to burn, judging by the wacky "future of flying" ideas, as promoted below ....

I mean to say - taking to the air with three railway carriages strapped to your underbelly?? ... or trying to ride that monstrosity of a bike down a road or footpath??
At what point do some of these people forget about the meaning of the word, and the basic idea of, "practicality"??

I see at least two problems WRT SLF:
1. The majority of people with whom I fly don't like looking out of the window.
2. If everyone was looking out of the windows, the cabin staff wouldn't be
able to help the cost of Lo Co by selling overpriced drinks, snacks and nick-
nacks.

If such a craft ever takes to the skies, the majority of the transparent material will be opaque.

AM - Thanks for the info, the XC-120 was an interesting concept, but it obviously appealed to the aviation fraternity, like a lead balloon to a kid at a fair.

Nonetheless, these people in the link below are still in state of excitement at the mention of the XC-120 - to perhaps even say, they have a bee in their bonnet over the idea ...
