Poor reporting
Have a look at this article for exaggeration! They end it by talking about whether Airbus will ground the A321!

" ....the blaze ripped through the aircraft, leaving it flying with just one engine."
Fortunately, a Mr H. Potter was a passenger on the aircraft and - with a wave of his wand - he conjoured up 59 random numerals and 2 engines, turning the A321 into an A380, giving each passenger a row to themselves....

I agree. Overstating because they don't know and like the dramatic.
About the only thing they have left out is missing a school !

To update S. J. Perelmann: "I asked the flight attendant to bring me a newspaper, and the poor girl, being hard of hearing, brought me the Daily Mail instead."
Amazing - comparing the before and after pictures, I never knew an engine failure could lead to a 400,000-lb weight gain.

However I would like to know if the engine exploded or was it a "glitch"
A spokesman for Helsinki-Vantaa airport said: ‘A Lufthansa flight had to make an emergency landing at Helsinki airport on Saturday evening due to a glitch in the plane’s engine.'

The German-bound Airbus suffered a number of technical problems before streaks of flames emitted from the left engine, 15 minutes after leaving ground.

From the Daily Mail
"A full investigation has now been launched by the airliner and Airbus to determine the exact cause of the accident."
Blimey! I had heard that Airbus was making intelligent kit but for a plane to be able to investigate its own incidents is amazing. I assume the grammar and spelling in its report will be far superior to that exhibited by the Daily Mail. As an ex pat I can't help but be astonished at how the level of journalism has declined in the decades since I left Albion.
Come to think of it, if a plane is so intelligent that it can investigate its own incidents, perhaps the newspapers should invest in such equipment and fire the journos!
