The greatest shame about all this globalization, or whatever the correct business term is, is that so many airlines have lost/are losing their individual identities. That's why, with the exception of Asia, aviation is becoming such a bore in visual terms.
Not loving that I must say. Title seems too short, and just plonked on without thought.
I just hope the TUI brand is as popular as they say it is in Europe. I don't imagine many Brits know TUI is the parent company of Thomson.

I agree Tango and Diverski.
I guess the day is inevitable when there's just a small handful of airlines left, all operating one model for regional, one for short haul and one for longhaul.

The traditional package holiday crowd have no idea and little interest in what airline they fly with, just so long as it gets them to the destination on time.
Many don't even look at their tickets till they arrive at the check in area !
That said TUI are retaining the Thomson and First Choice brands in the retail sectors.
The airline businesses have been moving towards a uniform brand for about six years and the UK aircraft have had a tag World of TUI up by the front doors for some time.
Exception to this being Corsair in France.
The single brand make the seasonal swaps particularly the long haul aircraft between the UK and Scandinavian divisions seamless.

Well, take a look at how the newest 787 was delivered recently.
Ship Photos, Container ships, tankers, cruise ships, bulkers, tugs etc
Even the engines are TUI!

Maybe the case that the Thomson brand is rebranded tui but not the case for first choice. According to what I've been told the first choice brand is very important to the business and if anything they will aim to put more business through it.

amusingly...TUI.com on the engines refers customers to the German tour operator website....one would have thought the logo police might have checked that before getting all of the TUI airlines to put it on their engines....

Just out of interest: TUI, at least on the Costa del Sol, have started painting their coaches into a similar bland TUI livery, now peak season is over.
