Starship 2000
Specifically for the Finnish spotters.
Did I see a starship 2000 making an approach to Helsinki (Vantaa) the other evening (probably monday about 1900 local).
It passed over my house and appeared to line up for 22L.
It had canards and pusher props.
You never have the camera ready when you need it!!!

finncapt...........
Very unlikely to be a Starship........think only one remains airworthy (in the US). The Avanti looks similar and there are a few of them around.

Thanks for that.
Didn't know of the Avanti and that is what it was.
I was uncertain of it being a Starship as it seemed to have a conventional tail.
The Avanti must rate as one of the noisiest airplanes of it's class - it was very loud and made me put my G&T down to see what it was.
I have only seen a Starship once and that was probably in the late 80's or early 90's when one departed ahead of me, at probably IAH or DFW.

If it was noisy, definitely an Avanti then!
I only ever saw Starships airborne on three occasions, once at Paris '87, once in Chicago and once in Florida - I've no recollection of it being particularly loud compared to the Avanti.

I've no idea how many of the Avanti are flying in Europe, but there's a Swiss registered one that seems to get about quite a lot. Indeed an aircraft witha bit of 'Sisu'
