Aircraft with three bright white lights on the rear

Does any know of an aircraft that has three bright horizontal white lights on the rear whilst in normal flight (not take off or landing)

Just see this over NE Derbyshire, and it's got me a little stumped. The odd thing is that there appeared to be no engine noise.

Ta.

Sorry, I know it was a cheap shot but I'm sure if I hadn't done it, someone else would have done.

Contrary to the Elton John song, aircraft tail lights are always white, not red. Many have rearward facing lights on the wingtips as well as on the rear fuselage = 3 white lights.

The Boeing 777 family has that configuration of white nav lights to the rear, one on each wingtip and the other on the tail.
Not many people mention such things but after a while spotting you will notice that differnt types of aircraft have distinct arrangements of lighting.
