ex-QANTAS B747-300 at Larnaca

There's an ex-QANTAS B747-300 at Larnaca-LCA.

Does anyone have a Reg and know what it's doing there?

Thanks

You only have a choice of 6, VH-EBT through to VH-EBY. EBU was painted in an aboriginal colour scheme, so probably only a choice of 5.

Cannot be EBU as it has been parked for many years at Avalon Airport in Victoria and used as a "Christmas Tree'.

Further to previous post, EBTand EBU have been scrapped, EBX stored awaiting scrapping.
EBV [N175SG ??], EBW [N176SG ??] and EBY [N177SG ??] are with Al SAYEGH Airlines of Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan. Google states that they will be based in Sharjah.

Was just quoting the reg's of the top of my head. I worked extensively on all off them between '00 and '04. If 2 have been scrapped and 1 is awaiting the chop,as you say, then the avionics and cabin upgrade they received was a bit of a waste of time.

Slightly drunken passenger forgot which gate to go to for re-boarding on a transit stop, and was asked which airline he was flying with ?

" Dunno, but the aeroplane had a great white rat on the tail. "
