Paris Air Show June 20th 2009

hello,

Going to the Paris Air Show on the Saturday ,20th, flying into CDG with Aer Lingus ,Terminal 1.

Never been in CDG before so does anyone know where you board the shuttle bus to the Air Show.

Flying back with Ryanair from BVA Beauvais that night. What is the best way to get from Le Bourget to Beauvais ? I dont think the metro goes that far but i think there is a train service to Beauvais and then a shuttle bus to the airport.

Would be greatful for any advice you can give .

Thanks

Tony

Assuming its the same as previous years, from CDG take the RER train to Le Bourget Station, right outside the Station there will be a fleet of shuttle buses that take you direct to the show, return is the same.

To get back to Beauvais, I only know of the Ryanair bus that leaves from Paris

Hope this helps

Regards

I would strongly recommend that you walk from Le Bourget RER station to the Air Show grounds. You will be a lot faster than the Shuttle bus, you will avoid waiting in line and it will cost you nothing.

Tony,
Agree with CDG. Get the RER to Le Bourget, then walk to the show. From memory, I reckon it's about fifteen minutes.

More concerned about your return! You'll need to get to the Palais du Congres to get the Ryanair coach to Beauvais. It's about an hour on the coach, and it may take an hour to get to the Palais du Congres in the first place...by RER and Metro. You basically need to get into the centre of Paris.

Anyway, enjoy the show. It's a great day out. Next time though, make a weekend of it!

Getting back :

Get the RER to Gare du Nord ...then
Watch your pockets and anything else you have of value with you.
Leaving Gare du Nord walk out to the right on to Rue Dunquerque and catch the
No 43 Bus
Get off at Place General Koenig [opposite the Hotel Concorde Lafayette] it's
1.60 euros
The Shuttle Bus depot for Beauvais is 100 yards away to the Southwest on
the side of Boulevard Pershing and it's 13 euros and takes between one hour
ten and one and a half hours to Beauvais -you should get to the depot c 3hrs 15 before your BVA takeoff.

I was on it this morning.

Good Luck
